It is best to use unsweetened cranberry juice, however either will assist.  How does this work you may ask, a simple explanation is that cranberries contain A-type Proanthocyanidins which are natural compounds preventing bacteria from sticking to the wall of the bladder.  This is especially useful where chronic UTI’s are occurring.  This can also be especially helpful for those suffering with dementia as they often dehydrate owing to forgetting to drink. Adding this to your apple a day will most definately keep the doctor away.
